App available in Apple iTunes and Google Play stores.
"The Boomerang bike unit is awesome. The unit stays charged at least for days. I am tech challenged, but had no issue installing and using app which has stupidly and mercifully simple interface." – Darren S. on Google Play

It just doesn't work. There is no rhyme or reason as to how and when I can get a location update. It seems I have to push all the buttons multiple times, or exit the app multiple times. I use city bus transportation, I would like to know if somebody has removed my bike from the rack.
Sending text to the device does nothing. I've tried to increase db and range, but device doesn't respond. I've ridden my bike through neighborhoods and commercial areas with the alarm ringing, yet, not one person seemed concerned, or cared, that a barely heard ring was blaring for a few seconds at sporadic intervals. Again, no rhyme or reason as to why or when or how long the alarm will go off. It takes a few minutes, or longer before the signal to turn on/off the alarm is received. This is senseless. Can't this be done with wifi direct, bluetooth, or even IR? Why so long?
If I can send text messages to the device, why must I always have a data signal to engage with it? (Text messages have not worked) This device will only track 1 out of maybe 5 rides. What is it I'm doing wrong.? I like to use a separate cycle computer and gps tracker app, yet this app tries to lock my gps even when not in use. (Not confirmed, could be something else)
If this device works for you, please tell me how.
The instructions and app are confusing, vague, and inaccurate. I have followed along to the letter.
This is constructive feedback from a customer. I have not yet determined if it is better than nothing. I will continue to use and experiment with the boomerang because I want this to work. I have multiple bikes to protect.
I was told by boomerang that it was working to provide the proportional discount promised on their site when I ordered. I presumed there was a last screen to enter the code into but instead the order went thru on the previous screen. I immediately contacted them and was told they were working on it. They have gone silent since. Not a company I care to do business with.
The unit does not fit my bike. No adequate solution has been offered to resolve this issue.
I tried various blu-tooth locks, not reliable. The GPS tracker is great.
The desktop dashboard is fun to track your rides.
If you own an e-bike or expensive bike, it is worth having.
I will find other uses, like a jet ski or backpack.
It's been two weeks and my bike has not been stolen, so that's a win! This thing works exactly as described. Incredibly easy way to log bike rides, which is fun, but more importantly, I feel a lot more secure leaving my bike locked in public places. If it does get stolen, at least I know I'll have a chance to track it down.
